MEAT LOAF ist einer der populärsten Künstler der Rock'n'Roll Geschichte. Im Juni erscheint die "Collectors Edition" seines siebten Studioalbums "Welcome To The Neighbourhood" im Digipack mit zwei CDs und einer DVD. Das Album verkaufte sich weltweit mehr als zweieinhalb Millionen mal.
CD1 enthält das originale "Welcome To The Neighbourhood"-Album plus vier Bonustitel. Für den ursprünglich 1995 veröffentlichten Tonträger arbeiteten zahlreiche Top-Songwriter und Produzenten: "Original Sin" und "Left In The Dark" wurden vom langjährigen MEAT LOAF-Produzenten Jim Steinman geschrieben; Autor der ersten beiden Single-Auskopplungen "I'd Lie For You (And That's The Truth)" & "Not A Dry Eye In The House" war Diane Warren. Dazu gibt es zum Beispiel auch Songs von Sammy Hagar "Amnesty Is Granted" oder Tom Waits "Martha". Als Bonus-Songs interpretiert Meat Loaf unter anderem die Beatles-Klassiker "Come Together" und "Let It Be".
CD2 präsentiert Live-Aufnahmen des legendären MEAT LOAF-Konzerts aus dem New Yorker "Beacon Theater" vom Oktober 1995. Als besonderen Bonus gibt es noch eine Live-Version des Songs "Whatever Happened To Saturday Night?", der ursprünglich auf dem Soundtrack zur "Rocky Horror Picture Show" erschien.
Auf der DVD sind neben den Promo-Videos zu "I'd Lie For You (And That's The Truth)" und "Not A Dry Eye In The House" exklusive "Top Of The Pops"-Auftritte sowie ein EPK-Interview mit MEAT LOAF enthalten.
